Brownie in a Mug

Do you ever crave a treat at night, but don’t have any sweets on hand? Well, look no further because here is a quick, easy recipe you can use with simple ingredients that are sure to be in your kitchen. I saw this recipe on Pinterest and adapted it to my taste. Make sure you use a microwave-safe mug, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • Small handful of almonds/nuts (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. of peanut butter (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Heat up the butter in the microwave mug for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the flour and sugar to the mug and mix with the butter.
  3. Add the water, cocoa powder, and vanilla to the mug and mix until combined.
  4. Crush some almonds or nuts and add them to the brownie mix for a little extra crunch.
  5. Take a Tbsp. of peanut butter and stir it into the brownie mix with a zigzag motion. (Don’t mix it in completely if you want streaks of peanut butter.)
  6. Put the mug in the microwave and cook for 75 seconds.
  7. Take the mug out and the brownie cool for about a minute, then enjoy!
